What is Hydroponic Magic®?
Hydroponic growing is
when you grow a plant entirely in a water and plant food solution. Some
folk swear by it and others hate it.
Since we are in the plant
food business, we like everyone and hydroponic growers are no exception.
Modern hydroponic growers
use computers, fancy pumps and very sophisticated computer driven
equipment to make their process as streamlined as possible.
Some of the formulas used
in hydroponic growing are rather complex and pretty expensive.
So what if we told you
that you do not need all that fancy equipment and you could receive all
the benefits of hydroponic growing without the expense of solution
control?
Enter Hydroponic Magic®.
Like the other formulas in the Plant Magic® plant nutrition
program this formula is simple quick and easy to use. You simply add a
little formula to a tank and circulate the water from the tank through the
root's growth trays and then back into the main tank. Once each two weeks
you just drain off the water. (Please use it on some plants some where,
they will love it!) And then you refill the tank with purified filtered
tap water (just to remove the chlorine and any harmful bacteria) and with
the addition of the correct amount of formula presto! You are back in
business.
There are hundreds of
filters available for sale which can filter this water for you.
The only thing you need
to make sure of is that you can drink the tap water. If it meets standard
USA drinking water codes for bacteria content then you will be fine. If it
does not then please send it through an appropriate filtration system
before you add the water to the tank.
If you do run into an
outbreak of mold or some other nasty organism, we have a product called
mold Magic for sale by request. Your local Plant Magic®
distributer carries it, we just do not advertise it.
Hydroponic growing
presents several challenges to plant food. Since all the nutrients for
optimal plant growth have to be present in the water, you need a pretty
beefy plant food with all the right stuff. The formula is based on a
combination of the ingredients in Foliar Magic and Root Magic with a few
other things added to augment what the plants would ordinarily take from
the soil.
The real secret to the
formula is in how it is prepared. Even if we told you everything in the
formula, unless you mix it correctly and do a couple of other real
important things, you just will not get the same product.
One of the advantages of
hydroponic gardening is in the ability to add certain things to the
formula for specific growth periods. For this reason we have the active
ingredients that make up Bloom Magic® available as an additive.
All you do is add the appropriate amount when your plants begin blooming
and watch the difference in the quality and quantity of your blooms!
