Introduction
TerraFirmer Corporation is a Nevada Company that has
developed and owns proprietary formulations for environmentally safe
products currently being applied as soil stabilization solutions for soil
erosion, dust control in the construction industry and equestrian market,
and asphalt repair. Through its wholly owned sales and operations
subsidiary, Dirt Glue Enterprises of TerraFirmer Corporation specializes
in the production, distribution and sale of these industry-leading quality
branded products.
DirtGlue Enterprises sources, develops, customizes sells,
and distributes these brand products through a world wide network of
channels located in high demand geographies. Also, the company is
constantly and aggressively working on new applications for the current
product line as well as new solutions for the emerging erosion control
industry.
Currently the company leases 7,400 sq ft of warehouse
space and 1,200 sq ft of office space in Amesbury MA and is shipping for
than 10,000 gallons of products to customers throughout the US and
internationally, including some recent Federal Government contracts.
Additional facilities in the Southwest US (second half of 2007) and
Southeast US (2008) will substantially increase production and regional
market access.
Background
Up to this point, more than 4 years of work and more than
$500,000 US in direct and indirect investment have funded research and
development into new product, infrastructure, marketing and sales,
numerous test applications, promotions and operational expenses.
TerraFirmer Corp. is a small group of businessmen and and
experienced chemist in polymer technology. Together they have developed a
product link the related technology, a distribution network and
successfully applied proprietary formulations and blends for the treatment
of soil and asphalt repair.
The Intellectual Property of proprietary formulations and
blends are protected by confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements with
all parties that are involved in research and development.
The military, federal, state and local government
agencies, engineering, construction and landscaping companies as well as
equestrian facilities are faced with many environmental problems. These
environmental problems create process delays, costly shut downs, human and
animal health issues, and low equipment productivity due to dust,
sediment, erosion, and storm water run-off pollution. The products
manufactured by DirtGlue Enterprises eliminate or control these problems
thereby improving productivity by at least 15% and substantially lowering
cost of operations/maintenance.
Unlike other soil stabilization products, DirtGlue
Enterprises has created products that are of better quality and allow for
consistency in application and effectiveness, proactive in terms of
problem solving, backed by industry leading technical support and safe for
humans and equipment.
Products and Markets
DirtGlue/DustLess (soil stabilization, erosion and dust
control):
In the US alone up to 16 billion dollars (Institute of
Applied Agriculture of the University of Maryland) are being spent each
year to fight and fix soil erosion. taking into consideration ever
increasing regulations by federal and state agencies, other applications
like soil stabilization, hydro-seeding, general dust control, stock pile
protection and other construction site applications, the market is
projected to surpass $25 billion by 2010.
Arena Kleen (dust control for riding arenas):
The equestrian market represents another lucrative
opportunity for Dirt Glue Enterprises. Today, there are more than 9
million horses in the US. whereas the "recreational" horse represents the
largest fraction of the total horse population. The majority of tens of
thousands of equestrian facilities have outdoor as well as indoor riding
arenas and dust is considered a major problem
/health
threat
for riders and horses. ArenaKleen with its unique characteristics of
"non-evaporation" fits perfectly into this market and addresses the
urgent need for a consistent, long-term and reliable dust suppressant.
PotHoleGlue (unique long-lasting pothole repair system):
Traditional methods of pothole repair like cold patch have
proven to be only marginally effective, short term, and harmful to the
environment. Due to these limitations of old technology, less than 15% of
all potholes receive a permanent fix.
PotHoleGlue on the other hand has been specifically
formulated as a multi-component system producing a catalytic reaction to
create a powerful, durable and easy to apply solution for this well known
problem. The highly effective dry formulation of a tough polymer, a curing
enhancing element and recycled asphalt found locally provides a unique,
solid and durable structure for long-lasting pothole repairs.
All products offered by DirtGlue Enterprises are
considered intellectual property. Patents will be considered for
PotHoleGlue and emulsion versions of DustLess and ArenaKleen.
Sales and Distribution
In terms of market approach, DirtGlue Enterprises manages
a network of commission only account managers, resellers/applicators, and
distributors (in selected market only). It subcontracts operational
services (storage and dispatch of product), applications, R & D, finance
and administration, and certain marketing activities. With these channels
DirtGlue Enterprises is actively penetrating the industry of dust and
erosion control, soil stabilization as well as dirt and gravel road
stabilization.
With an extended product line including PotHoleGlue and
ArenaKleen, DirtGlue Enterprises will enter the consumer market more
aggressively including a full-blown e-commerce interface.
The company has recently entered into a strategic
partnership with Certified Erosion Control, a national service company
focusing on certifying installers in the 5 pillars of storm water
pollution prevention plans (SWPPPs), installation, inspection,
maintenance, and cleanup of erosion, and sediment control BMPs (Best
Management Practices).
DirtGlue Enterprises will aggressively tap into these
continually expanding market by focusing on surface applications, high
volume markets and a nationwide networkof installers. Revenue will grow
exponentially from below $500k to more than $15 million within five years.
Competition
The competition in the chemical dust and erosion control
market is fragmented and consists of a group of small to medium sized
companies, primarily located in the Midwest and southwest of the US. Most
of them focus on local sales and applications with less than a
handful reaching out nationwide. Direct and indirect
competitive solution include water, calcium chloride, and other chemicals.
Although there is competit
i
on,
the business advantages of profound improvements in product technology and
application processes have successfully kept the compay ahead of the
industry pack. The unique product characteristics combined with superb
application technology and industry leading technical support is the ideal
recipe to grab market shares and produce market growth.
Operations
DirtGlue Enterprises sources raw material from large,
multinational companies in the US and blends, mixes and packages its own
proprietary formulations. Currently, the company operates out of an
office, warehouses and blending facility in Amesbury MA and uses another
warehouse in Phoenix AZ
Conclusion
The demand is increasing, the market has been created and
is growing, a superb and very competitive product line has been developed,
tested and applied, and an experienced management team is ready to take on
the challenge of creating the leader of this industry. What is now needed
to create an even more successful business venture is the vision,
enthusiasm, confidence, and drive of a dynamic sales force.
