DirtGlue application for coverage of a large stock pile. This pile was dredged during Boston's "Big Dig" project. Much of the pile was high density silt. This page has a PDF file which contains closeup photos of the application surface and a short video clip of the DirtGlue certified applicator applying with the use of a hydroseed application machine.

DirtGlue Polymer Emulsion is an excellent alternative for capping of storage piles. The application in the pictures had a total surface area of approximately 72,000 square feet. DirtGlue PE was applied at the prescribed application rate for dust and erosion control to develop a crust to protect this large landfill pile. DirtGlue PE was applied with a basic hydroseeder with a dilution of approximately 6:1.

If you note in the picture below pieces of black porous plastic material. This material previously covered the entire pile. It did not work and was removed. The operators of this landfill instead elected a DirtGlue Dust and Erosion control solution.

Typical stockpile capping using hydroseed equipment. Stockpile stabilized for one year to eliminate fine particulate migrating into wetlands and to eliminate windborne dust.

We encourage you to consider all possible alternatives for the requirements of your particular situation. For many solutions, a DirtGlue PE application provides the most practical cost-effective solution.
