Erosion Control with DirtGlue

DirtGlue Polymer Emulsions are  environmentally-friendly polymers that can be used effectively as a surface application for erosion control/bank stabilization, tackifier for hydroseeding process, storage pile capping and application on other non-traffic surfaces to be protected from wind or water erosion.

DirtGlue Polymer Emulsions will hold a mulch or straw matrix in place preventing erosion and keeping the mulch looking new longer. This has many applications, including landscaping for large and small jobs, even on very steep slopes. Application rates depend on performance requirements. Costs are in $US FOB Amesbury MA. Shipping costs are not included.

Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) by Dirt Glue Enterprises

When development commences the first thing on everyone's mind these days is the Clean Water Act and creating a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan. Because of the effectiveness of DirtGlue products they should be spec'd into every SWPPP to give the developer the best possible protection from regulatory issues but often times due to lack of awareness of these products this does not happen. For example, the use of DirtGlue Light polymer emulsion can be thought of as a proactive approach to the control or elimination of TSS in stormwater run-off. Hay bales and silt fence on the other hand are actually reactive. The engineer and the excavating contractor both know that disturbed soil will lead to high TSS in the run-off so their solution is to catch the sediment after it is already on the move. The better approach would be to apply DirtGlue as the soil on site is disrupted and prevent or minimize the "fines", sediments, and soil from moving in the first place. This has the benefit of preventing the siltfence from becoming overwhelmed and it also prevents drainage swales, drainage structures, etc from excess siltation.

Once the project is underway, stockpiles can be capped to prevent windborne erosion and subsequent dust problems as well as prevent the fines from being washed out of the piles during rain events. Temporary embankment stabilization is fast, simple and very effective with DirtGlue. Also hydro-seed applications benefit because germination is assured and washouts are almost nonexistent.

DirtGlue is a superior replacement for conventional tackifier in hydroseeding applications. It holds seed and topsoil in place even on very steep embankments and during extremes of runoff.  DirtGlue Polymer Emulsion increases the rate of germination and decreases germination time. Because it eliminates washouts a more uniform crop can be produced. Application rates depend upon severity of slope and performance requirements. Costs are in $US FOB Amesbury MA. Shipping costs are not included.
